No... I don't mean the ice cream unfortunately, for you fellow Buies Creek friends of mine. The other day I received a fortune cookie that read, "Let the sun shine on your soul." I immediately thought, being the nerd that I am deep down.. what a great pun that I can use in my blog! Over the past few weeks I have been watching the weather in South Korea, and it's been nothing but sunny skies in Seoul with highs of about 75-80 degrees. As I sit here so sleepily getting in this one last post before I take off to the N.O. airport, I can only imagine what God has in store for this summer. Keep praying.
And now I'm off... to let the SON shine through me in Seoul. <-- I'm very excited at this point that my pun has now come full circle.

ReplyDeleteI can't help but notice that this is at least the second time you have called yourself a "nerd". Hopefully you are not as nerdy as you make yourself out to be, just kidding. I am sure you are really cool deep down inside somewhere. that was a nice pun by the way. I did appreciate it very much.
Just so you know, people often call me a nerd to, so I am right there with you on that.

ReplyDeleteRachel, you're not really a nerd. You do know that, don't you? We just say that because you read labels and things like that! (really, you're just smarter than the rest of us). Evidenced by the following: I have been tracking your flight on Delta.com all day. I kept showing your less nerdy sister where you were...."she's over Canada"..."she's not far from Russia", etc.....and I kept wondering why you were taking the long way to get there and not just going in a straight line across the US, across the Pacific, and right to Seoul. So I showed Michael the map when he got home and he told me that the world was round and that your pilots were not taking you the long way. ...... I felt kinda dumb! Can't wait to see your plane touch down. Its 7pm here now, and you just got over the half way mark....I feel for you!!
